IT’S FOR A RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE…HELD AT THE HILTON GARDEN INN. IT’S THE SECOND ANNUAL EVENT – EXCEPT THIS TIME – IT’S A DIFFENT BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC THIS TIME AROUND – THE DRIVE IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. DONORS ARE ASKED WHICH DEPARTMENT THEY ARE SUPPORTING — BEFORE GIVING BLOOD. “EVEN THOUGH WE’RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC, THE NEED FOR BLOOD DOES NOT DECREASE AT ALL. RED CROSS IS ALWAYS SHORT ON BLOOD, AND EVERY OUNCE THAT THEY GET WILL HELP SOMEBODY IN THE FUTURE.” THE DRIVE WRAPS UP AT SIX O’CLOCK. ORGANIZERS SAY ALL THE APPOINTMENTS WERE BOOKED BEFORE IT EVEN BEGAN
