Impact Weather: Late season snow on the way Sunday into Monday

Sunday night into Monday rain and snow move into the state and will drop a coating up to several inches of heavy wet snow over the region. Rain moves in Sunday afternoon and evening. Higher elevations in the mountains will start with snow Sunday afternoon. Overnight into Monday morning temperatures cool and cause a change from rain to snow for many. Accumulations along the coastline will be minimal, where temperatures will have the toughest time cooling down. Increasing accumulations heading inland where cooler temperatures will win out Sunday night into Monday. This will be a heavy, wet snow and will likely lead to power outages.
