Maine Game Wardens to search for possible drowning victim tomorrow

Officials with the Maine Warden Service say they plan to resume searching for a New York man tomorrow who they believe drowned in Bryant Pond on Sunday.According to officials, 28-year-old Yohanna Milad Israel Rizk was kayaking on Bryant Pond when his kayak flipped, dumping him into 47-degree water. Rizk’s friends told officials that Rizk was an inexperienced kayaker, did not know how to swim and was not wearing a life jacket. Witnesses said that Rizk struggled to grab the kayak before going underwater. Officials searched for Rizk with boats Sunday afternoon but all they were able to find was Rizk’s glove which had washed ashore. They plan on mobilizing a dive team to search the area starting at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow.
