Maine town to reopen beaches, with restrictions

Ogunquit is the latest community in Maine to lift some restrictions on the beach.Starting on Monday, May 18, the Main and Footbridge Beaches will be open for walking, surfing, paddling and fishing. Estuary access at Main Beach will still be prohibited.All social distancing protocols recommended by the Maine CDC will remain in place and people from out of state are still subject to a 14-day quarantine.Public beaches in Wells reopened on Monday for walking, swimming, surfing and fishing only.
