This is Maine’s total, whether it’s early on a Tuesday morning, and although there still may be some clouds outside your window, we are looking for brighter skies today, the sunshine breaking through the clouds. It’ll be a gusty, windy day because the drier air comes in. But just getting the sunshine I helped boost temperatures up close to 50. Ah, mix of sun and clouds during the afternoon hours, but not expecting any rain today. Here’s the view from above. During the night that cold front slip toward the coastline, and now high pressure is building in. It’s a cool air mass, so both today and tomorrow. Yes, temperatures will ultimately be a little below normal, but warmer than what we had yesterday. And then finally, later on in the week, we are still keeping our eye on what may turn out to be an approaching storm system. First, enjoy the sunshine today. Here’s what we’re talking about when I say that storm hurricanes Ada, now cutting across the Yucatan Peninsula, headed toward the Gulf of Mexico and ultimately some of that moisture expected to come north bound where it bumps into the colder air still several days away. But given the current path, it could throw down some snow here at least across Southern areas. And it’s still too early to talk about amounts. But anywhere from a light coating to perhaps enough to cover the ground pile up a few inches, depending on the exact track of the storm, which will know more about later today, and especially tomorrow at this time. Here’s a check of the next eight days. In the meantime, we’ll enjoy the sunshine for Tuesday Wednesday, and whatever Thursday night Friday morning brings to the area, it’ll be out of here for the weekend.
