Police looking for missing Lewiston teens who eloped from local shelter

Lewiston police are looking for two teenagers who went missing from a shelter that houses at-risk youth in Lewiston.Charity Bell, 14, and Elliot Dowd, 15, left the New Beginnings shelter on April 8 and have not yet returned. Police believe they eloped and are still in the Lewiston-Auburn area.The teens’ parents, as well as officials at the shelter, are concerned and have asked police for help in locating them.Anyone who has information on their whereabouts is asked to call 207-784-6421.
