At the orchard, the President signed MAGA hats and pumpkins in front of a large crowd and touted what his administration has done for Maine’s lobster industry, specifically when he directed the Department of Agriculture to provide U.S. lobster fishermen with financial assistance to make up for lost income from Chinese tariffs.

Trump’s visit comes after a 1 p.m. scheduled event near Manchester, New Hampshire.

Addressing the New Hampshire crowd, the President said that coronavirus cases are rising because of increased testing and — contrary to the opinions of doctors in his administration — the U.S. is “rounding the turn” in terms of new infections.

“You know why we have cases so much is because all we do is test,” Trump said. “We are coming around. We are rounding the turn. We have the vaccines, we have everything.”
